The Simpsons Hamlet skit was hilarious !!! I love how in the end Bart says something about "how could a play where everyone gets killed be so boring?" because I was kind of wondering the same thing. lol =]
ReplyDeleteThe students who did the iambic pentameter video was very enjoyable and helpful. I like thier creativity and visuals. I had a good laugh with how they made iambic pentameter sound like a horse galloping or a heart beating.
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard at the Simpson's Hamlet! It was great! I thought it was funny how Bart mentioned "cool, does he get to marry his mom ?!" because it reminded me of Oedipus.
ReplyDeleteAlso, over Hamlet's bed I noticed "Danes do it melancholy". I thought that was clever.
The part that made me laugh the hardest was when Hamlet was trying to make Claudius confess with the sketch, and Claudius objected "Wait a minute, I didn't use that much poison!... I mean I didn't use that much poi (insert line break) son.. at the royal Lou out..". funny stuff. woo~

ReplyDeleteI Have to point out the video above is the cheapest video of high school kids doing Hamlet but quite funny. This Hamlet vid is made of sock puppets, but you know what, it explains the whole play in about 5 minutes.Its hilarious,and informative. :)

LMAOO!!!! Im sorry but I had to do that because that simpson's hamlet had me rolling on the floor! Its amazing how it just took a couple of minutes to show the plot from beginning to end. Simply amazing and hillarious!
ReplyDeleteHahaha Bart being Hamlet was by far the cutest version :D My favorite part was Lisa acting crazy, like Ophelia, because she thought Bart, Hamlet, was getting all the attention (makes me look at Ophelia's act in the play a bit differently)

I was laughing so hard at the Simpson's skit. I love the Simpsons. Ms.L you should have shown us this in class, it would have been so enjoyable. HAHA the whole plot in literally five minutes. Angel I noticed the same sign. Hmmm, it makes me wonder. I loved how Hamlet (Bart) was explaining what a soliloquy was to Claudius. This video had me rolling.
ReplyDeleteThe Simpson's Hamlet was priceless. I especially loved the part when Claudius said " I didn't use that much poison" and at the end when queen says " i am not cleaning this up" and kills herself. The humor used in this skit might have just made the story better, not that it already isn't.
ReplyDeleteEveryone did the Simpson's Hamlet so I did what any high school kid would do...I did the Simpson's hamlet :) That was soo hilarious. Lisa being Ophelia had me dying on the floor with laughter (not literally). And when "Claudius" was like "I have diareha, does anyone else have diareha" now that was priceless.
ReplyDeleteIn the Simpson's Hamlet I found it hilarious how our class wasn't alone in messing up Rosencrantz's and Guildenstern's names and although there were changes in the overall plot, it was a relatively concise and humorous way to quickly sum up the story.
